“They say The People could fly. That not long ago Our People had black shinin’ wings of every kind of feather and bone. Wings of ancestral memory inscribed with wisdom only accessed through the embodiment of flight…” —excerpt from Freedom Land’s Ancestral Origin Story, The People Could Fly, reimagined by ChE
F R E E D O M L A N D is a Liberatory Coaching, Consulting, and Rites-of-Passage platform centering Queer+, Trans, Gender-nonconforming, Nonbinary, Intersex, Two Spirit Black and Indigenous People-of-Color.
OUR COMMITMENT
We embody a commitment to healing transgenerational impacts of oppression and decolonizing our social justice movements to steward liberatory worlds into being.
OUR OFFERINGS
We offer Liberatory Coaching and Consulting services, partnering with organizations to provide Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Justice (DEIA+J) audits, trainings, and strategic planning. We support organizations and individuals with coaching in unpacking toxic white supremacy, transforming relationship with the land through land-responsive retreats, and shaping pathways for reparations and community resourcing. Bringing the sacred back into the way we work, we offer multi-year rites-of-passage programs midwifing organizations though the threshold experience of shedding oppressive structures and practices to vision a new more liberatory way forward. Our biennial coaching cohort is shaping national councils of QTGNC2-S+ Legacy Leaders-of-Color to receive strategic support and accountability while immersing in a two-year liberatory ritual. We also offer community-based programs through our Freedom School—taking the shape of participatory praxis circles, interactive workshop series, kitchen-table-talks, and more.
Together we are moving at the pace of relationship with land, with our bodies, and with each other—daring to live our Freedom dreams out loud for seven generations and beyond.
